Android by default will show characters in a passcode/password before changing the character to an asterisk (*). This can be a security issue should someone be recording the screen in a classroom or conference room.

Here is how we can change this so that no characters are shown during input.

  1. Login to your Google profile on the panel
  2. Settings > Privacy > Show Passwords > Off

Now when the password or pin code is entered on the lock screen, no characters are visible.
